Brent McNeal

My name is Brent, and I am one of the Elders at Sojourn. My wife Krystle and I hace been married since 2009, and God has blessed us with a jovial and energetic son, Zachariah.

-My Journey-
The name sojourn implies that everyone is on a spiritual journey. For me, I want my journey to be defined by my faith and trust in Jesus.
When I was young, my family attended church regularly and I had a working knowledge of God's love for me and who the characters in the Bible stories were, namely Jesus. I participated in Bible Drill, Children's camp, Youth Camp, and numerous church choirs. Despite my knowledge of Jesus and participation in these church activities, I still lacked the heartfelt confession of faith in Jesus. It wasn't until I was in 5th grade that I came to know Jesus as my true Lord and Savior and was baptized soon after that.
In college at the University of Alabama, God created an intense desire within me to serve him and His church with my whole life. The next step in my spiritual journey was to refine God's call on my life to be a pastor and church starter at Southwestern Seminary.
I serve Sojourn in a full time capacity. It brings great pleasure to me to serve the Sojourn Church family as we live by the gospel, in community together and on mission for Jesus here in Fargo-Moorhead!

John Fisher

My name is John I am one of the Elders at Sojourn. I am incredibly blessed to be married to my wife Abby since 2006, and we have three awesome kiddos, Julia, Esther and John. I am originally from Tennessee and transplanted here to Fargo-Moorhead in 2008.

 -My Journey-
I was a rebellious kid and lived apart from God until I was in high school when He rocked my world.
I went to college at Western Kentucky University where the Lord called me out to pastor His people.
I then attended seminary at Southern Seminary where he made it so apparent that missions and starting Churches was the plan He had for me.
I serve Sojourn as a missionary and adjunct Elder in a bi-vocational role. I work full time at CHARISM, a Fargo based non-profit, and I love serving in these roles.
